Our Story
Developed by advisors serving complex families.
The challenge
VIA grew out of the reporting challenges advisors faced when serving families with complex ownership structures spanning trusts, partnerships, operating businesses, investment accounts, and personal assets. Information arrived through custodial feeds, fund statements, administrator portals, spreadsheets, and client records. Producing a complete financial picture required ongoing collection, interpretation, and reconciliation.
Making data useful
Reporting platforms provided the technology, but the usefulness of the reports depended on how the underlying data was organized and presented. Data processors often lacked the investment and accounting context to translate that information into reports that supported client conversations and planning.
Even accurate data could be difficult to use without a clear view of ownership, asset performance, and cash flows across entities. Families and their trusted advisors needed reporting that explained what was driving changes in wealth and supported liquidity planning around investment commitments and other obligations across the family balance sheet.
VIA
VIA's capabilities were developed through direct work with complex families. Private investment reconciliation expanded into consolidated portfolio reporting and broader financial reporting across trusts, partnerships, operating businesses, and personal assets. Processes and deliverables were refined through ongoing use by clients and advisors.
Today, VIA combines reporting technology with a team that understands private investments, entity structures, and financial reporting. Its services cover document collection, data processing, reconciliation, and finished reports, giving families and their trusted advisors consistent information to evaluate performance, plan liquidity, and make informed decisions.
